New Jersey lo-fi boys Martin Courtney, Matthew Mondanile and Alex Bleeker AKA Real Estate are through the woods on a deal which will see them leave current label Woodsist and sign with Domino Records.
The best part is, they are going to release their sophomore album on Domino records AND we dont’ have to wait long to hear the next wave of dreamy beach psychedelia. Its already in the final stages of being completed. Coming out in October it will be a nice way to ease the pain of loosing the sun as we drift out of summer and start reaching for jumpers.
This is also good news for the groups other projects, as it means support for new releases, especially solo endeavors Ducktails (Mondanile) and Alex Bleeker and the Freaks. Things will stay cosy with Woodsist records as it is run by Real Estates sister band Woods. Jackson Pollis will join Real Estate as their permanent live drummer following their split with Etienne Duguay
Summer will see the band embark on a nationwide tour of the US.
Here is a track to listen to as you start your Saturday Morning tomorrow…from their Reality EP released on Mexican Summer records in 2010
